Post-Jam Update #1


The first of two post-jam updates is ready!

The second upcoming update should fix most of the remaining issues, as well making Windows/Linux builds available. Thanks for playing!

Here’s the full list of changes:

  • Dash attacks now deal damage if you were already inside the hitbox of an enemy when you started your dash

  • Each ‘dash upgrade’ wave now spawns a choice between 2 upgrades, so you can choose your favorite dash

  • Tweaked player visuals & added proper wing animation

  • The endless wave generator no longer inserts endless waves in front of existing premade waves, allowing you to try out all dashes by wave 9, then pick your favorite by wave 12

  • Camera no longer jitters on high-refresh rate monitors

  • Legion is much less likely to get stuck outside the playable space (Though not impossible, this is still being worked on)

  • Urchins now have a small attack cooldown to prevent outrageous damage when an Urchin manages to catch and push you

  • Legion object pool now has a buffer of swarmlings to help prevent some lag spikes (Object pooling was already implemented on this enemy, but in testing I forgot to give a starting buffer of swarmlings to spawn)

  • Lots of tweaks to the Angler, including:

    • Angler gems now give the correct amount of health when collected, and can no longer drop infinite health during their death animation
    • Anglers have slightly less health and deal slightly less damage, but now have a shorter retreat timer and also collide with each other (and you, when stunned), covering a much larger area, making them more dangerous in numbers
    • Tweaked Angler visuals: they are no longer covered by the Colosseum fog, added ink particles during animations, bite/stun animations no longer reset their rotation, lures no longer sometimes fail to disappear
